El cantante de los Arctic Monkeys, mas hábil con la composición y el fraseo que con el micrófono, posee un tenor bastante suave y brillante, que en ocasiones puede resultar ser algo pegajoso y sonar dramático.
Suele limitarse a cantar en su zona cómoda sin arriesgar demasiado, por esto apesar de ser un tenor y al carecer quizás de la suficiente técnica no pasa de un bastante forzado B4 como nota mas alta.
En sus últimos discos tiende a usar su registro mas bajo.
