Los Bestiales High On Fire estuvieron en una brutal gira todo el año pasado, decidieron grabar algunos temas para transformarlos en lo que serían los primeros discos en vivo. La calidad de los discos es una especie de Lo-Fi, con la que solo podés imaginar cuan alto y distorsionado suenan en vivo, el tono de Matt Pike es brutal, los temas están interpretados de forma excelente, alucinante, lisergica. Algo gracioso respecto a los discos es que, días después de haber sido lanzados informaron a traves de la fan page que la banda había enviado los masters erroneos del disco Vol 2 al sello, después de que este se tomara el trabajo de producir el disco. JAJAJAJA Para disculparse sobre el error decidieron obsequiar a los fanaticos una descarga digital gratuita que estuvo disponible temporalmente aunque todavía se puede descargar a traves de soundcloud.

Much like their sound, everything High on Fire do tends to be bigger than their contemporaries, a trend they continue with their first live albums, Spitting Fire Live, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, released separately. The live set for the first installment comes from a November 2012 performance at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City (though "Last" comes from a performance the following night at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn). Ripping through seven tracks, the album is an exercise in sweaty, sludgy mayhem that simply tramples anyone unwilling to get swept up by Matt Pike's massive riffs and hoarse growls. True to its stoner metal roots, Spitting Fire Live, Vol. 1 is an experience that's more visceral than technical, so while the playing on the album might not be as rock-solid as you'd find on any of High on Fire's studio efforts, the looser style of their live set gives the songs a more in-the-moment feeling, making this live set well worth the time of High on Fire fans looking for something new rather than just a pitch-perfect re-creation of the albums they already own.
Como seguidor de High On Fire digo que es excelente! Un gran lanzamiento, la interpretación de Devilution, 10, 000 Years, Speedwolf, Fertile Green te van a patear el culo! High On Fire cada vez tiene más razones para ocupar el trono hecho de huesos que le pertenece en la cultura Stoner.
