El autor de tal hazaña ha sido Geohot, conocido hacker autor de varias aplicaciones para hacer el jailbreak y liberar el iPhone (Blackra1n o Purplera1n), por lo que su fiabilidad queda fuera de toda duda.
Lo ha anunciado en su blog , donde dice que ha podido leer y escribir en toda la memoria del sistema, HyperVisor mediante. Eso si, por ahora no publicará el exploit, porque aun tiene trabajo por hacer, pero en sus propias palabras, "ya es solo software".
