Con motivo del 50 aniversario de la salida de Please Please Me, la reconocida revista norteamericana publicó en su página web la lista de los 100 mejores discos debut de todos los tiempos según ellos. Se aclara que se valoran más en esta lista aquellos álbumes que fueron tan buenos debuts discográficos, que no fueron superados o igualados por los siguientes trabajos de cada artista (por ello tal vez justamente el mencionado disco de los Beatles no haya ingresado en el top 10, ya que tuvo sucesores de la calidad que todos conocemos). Asimismo, también se advierte que no aparecen los primeros trabajos de solistas ya consagrados (ejemplo: John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band).
