Sister Loolomie - Signals [2009]
Sister Loolomie - Signals [2009]

Sister Loolomie - Signals [2009] Sister Loolomie is the project by one of Russian electronic underground representatives, musician Sergey . In album Signals he creates big, voluminous pools of electronic ambient with changing deepness - at the beginning of the next of 5 tracks we are deepened up to knees, up to the end developed by him audio substance drags you away totally. Ambient, drone, reverberation - this is a common set of scene fans, general misty atmosphere and mood of deep penetration into dense mental layers. Modest, simple melodies develop emotional side of the record giving shape to the stripes of audio design. Quite habitual for style, destructive bitcrush went over the sound, accurately like with a brush, making the texture of sound surface brighter and rougher, adding to extensive compositions aesthetics of digital noise effects. Breaking, scratching and mixing of sounds layers is a very fascinating business. That's extremely well when you manage to do it the way when not only the author of music likes it, but also a small group of people who are ready to buy very limited edition of CDr with album which came out. I think that each person of them will find in signals of Sister Loolomie his own warm, cozy cosmos and will be maybe not surprised but fully satisfied with pleasant home music. Kreng - L'Autopsie Phenomenale De Dieu
ArteporAnónimo5/5/2014

Kreng - L'Autopsie Phenomenale De Dieu [2009] Shrouded in the mystery and the opaque, otherworldly quality we've come to expect from the consistently remarkable Miasmah imprint, this beguiling debut album has been wrecking our collective heads here in the office for some time. Pieced together from a plethora of unidentified samples, field recordings and found sounds, Kreng taps into a unique, almost indescribable corner of the musical universe that originates from, and proceeds to completely re-imagine, the world of music for film and theatre. The eleven pieces here were, indeed, originally made for a variety of theatre productions and retain that illusory quality that's so often associated with arts-based music, but without any of the site-specific pretension or impenetrability that you'd think goes hand hand in with this kind of material. There's an intensely overbearing darkness to this work, covered by a dense thicket of layered drones and fuzzy sound recordings, but as each piece progresses narrow cracks begin to emerge, letting in shards of colour and light painted through fragments of jazz and classical music re-painted in shimmering, luxurious colours. It's very hard to think of any singular points of reference, but there are elements here that remind us of György Ligeti, Cliff Martinez, Moondog, Arvo Pärt, Arthur Lipsett, Deathprod, Bernard Herrmann and Dictaphone - while really sounding very little like any of them. "L'Autopsie Phénoménale De Dieu" is an incredible, utterly mesmerising collection of pieces that we have little doubt will entice, seduce and terrify you in equal measure and, needless to say, comes to you with our highest possible recommendation. Belong - Common Era [2011]

Belong - Common Era [2011] Belong is an American experimental music duo composed of Turk Dietrich and Michael Jones. The group formed in New Orleans in 2002. Their debut album, October Language, was recorded in 2004 and released in 2006. The duo's sound blends ambient styles, with a focus on guitar textures. Reviews have made comparisons to current electronica artists like Fennesz and Tim Hecker, as well as the early 1990s shoegazing sound attributed to bands such as My Bloody Valentine and The Jesus and Mary Chain. Guitars and synthesizers are run through various effects to produce the band's sound. In January 2008, their Tour EP, (recorded in 2005, sold as a CDr at live shows in February 2006) surfaced in 128 kbit/s quality, ripped by a fan. Belong directly offered it to fans in MP3 for free, at a higher quality 192 kbit/s. This was also done for their latest EP, Same Places, this time in 320 kbit/s. In 2009, October Language was released on vinyl by Geographic North Records, a label based out of Atlanta, GA. The Human Voice - Exit Lines [2008] A sonic black and white picture of someone lost in a world of confusing emotions... Described as Deep drones and sparse melodic guitar lines, "skeletal" structures and subtle noises. This is made by Hærleif of Northaunt but released as 'The Human Voice' since it's a very personal ambient album that does not have the same inspiration when it comes to man vs nature as Northaunt. Released on cd by Eibon records in 2008 (cd available from Eibon or Northaunt) but this is the first download version. Comes with full cover artwork.
