The work of internationally renowned artist A. Andrew Gonzalez can be found in museums, galleries and collections. He's known for the unique sculptural look of his paintings, as well as their power to move and inspire the viewer. The art of painting is usually an additive process, in which layer after layer builds an image. Gonzalez turns this on its head using a subtractive process developed through years of trial and error. His technique involves a gesso-like surface, transparent paints and, most surprisingly, an array of erasers. The artist describes his style as "a revival of the Pre-Raphaelite aesthetic" and "mystical love poems to the soul". His focus is on the figure as both temple and vessel, sublimed by transformative forces. He captures his subjects suspended in an ecstatic moment; poised on the threshold of a new birth.
Christophe Vacher is a two-time Emmy Award winner and Annie Award Nominee French artist who has provided Backgrounds, Visual Development and Art Direction for Disney, Dreamworks, Universal Studios and the film industry since 1989. He worked in many small animation studios before joining Disney's Paris-based animation unit for three years, where he painted backgrounds for such animated films as "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", "Runaway Brain" and served as head of background for the 1995 feature, "A Goofy Movie". Relocating to California in 1996, he continued his art career with Disney, where his credits have included painting backgrounds and concept artwork for "Dinosaur", "Hercules," "Tarzan", the Stravinsky Firebird finale for "Fantasia 2000" and "Treasure Planet". He also worked on Dreamworks' "Shark Tale" doing concept Artwork and paintings.
Twins Anna and Elena Balbusso are internationally recognized award winning illustrators team, with a unique signature ANNA&ELENA BALBUSSO, who work has been published by major international publishers and companies through out the world (US, UK, France, Canada, Italy...) on various media types such as book jackets, magazines, newspapers including The New York Times, The New Yorker Magazine, Reader's Digest Magazine, le Figaro Group, in house corporate, promotion, ads. They have illustrated over 40 books (children picture books, classic novels, fiction). Their artwork has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions and galleries in Italy and abroad. In 2015 the prestigious NORMAN ROCKWELL MUSEUM (Stockbridge, Massachusetts US) included Balbusso Twins among the illustrators of The Decade 2010-present (time periods) in their www.illustrationhistory.org website. Anna and Elena Balbusso have been included among the 18 greatest italian artists in the "ilustración infantil y juvenil: excelencias italianas" Children's illustration: Italian Excellence travel show (2015-2016) organized by the Bologna Children's Book Fair, the Italian Institute of Culture of Madrid and of Berlin.
